I just came across this sublime photo of Madeira, taken by my friend and colleague Will Henry from up on a steep hill. It's not an aerial shot of the village you see, it's just a really strenuous uphill hike. This reminds me of tilt-shift photography, but it was taken before that type of photography got so popular.
